Kishanti Barmoh

Ascend Legacy Academy is honored to welcome Kishanti Barmoh as our Community-Engaged Research Intern.

Kishanti brings a distinguished record as an Echols Scholar and Ron Brown Scholar at the University of Virginia. Her accomplishments include:

  • Leading equity-focused research projects on Grounds

  • Serving in student government roles that advanced inclusive campus policies

  • Facilitating community dialogues on education and social justice

At ALA, Kishanti will partner with our team and local stakeholders to build a community-engaged research model that spans Delaware and Charlottesville campuses. Her work will center family and student perspectives in program design and evaluation.

Nydja Randolph-Harris

Ascend Legacy Academy is thrilled to introduce Nydja Randolph-Harris as our Community-Engaged Research Intern.

Nydja is a third-year University of Virginia student majoring in Youth & Social Innovation with a minor in African American & African Studies. Her background includes:

  • Leading social-emotional learning initiatives at the International Rescue Committee

  • Designing inclusive programming for BIPOC students through UVA’s Multicultural Student Services

  • Applying data-driven evaluation to measure program impact

At ALA, Nydja will collaborate with staff, faculty, and community partners to develop a replicable, equity-centered research framework. Her work will strengthen connections between our Delaware and Charlottesville sites and center the voices of families and students.
